Macerated Strawberries with Sweetened Mascarpone

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients

2 pounds strawberries, stems removed
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup sweet Marsala wine

For the mascarpone:
1 cup mascarpone cheese
ΒΌ cup brown sugar

Toss together the strawberries, sugar, and Marsala until sugar is dissolved. Let the strawberries macerate at room temperature, tossing occasionally, 30 minutes before serving.

In a small bowl, mix the mascarpone and brown sugar together until well blended. Serve with a dollop on top of the strawberries.
